Valentines Day last year I was moving house, hair in a top knot, sweaty & tired, very unglamorous & a little depressed driving past adoring couples in-between loads from old house to new house. Luckily I can laugh about it now. This year I’m more settled, & we are blessed to have Vday on a Saturday, a rarity! So take advantage of my little guide on how to have a successful Vday.
WHO: Make sure you have a fun date, be it your single best friend, sister, or your significant other.
WHAT TO WEAR: Go for nudes & fleshy pinks. It even sounds sensual hey? I love these colours because anything you decide to pair it with will always pop in comparison (ie: beautiful hair/makeup or a metallic accessories). Its also an easy colour to wear from day to night in case of all day activities!
WHAT TO DO: Sightsee in your own city (check out this beautiful location we photographed at, Parsley Bay Reserve in Vaucluse), pack a picnic and take a road trip, watch a movie at the open air cinemas, or fly & dine with Sydney Seaplanes.
WHAT TO GIVE: for her; tickets to 50 Shades of Grey, bouquet of her favourite flowers, a pamper session for the two of you. For him; his favourite food (bought or home cooked), cologne, anything R rated (my husbands contribution). But steer clear of stuffed teddy bears holding love hearts please!
TIP: Setting a budget is the best way to communicate your expectations & your limits to one another.
